Sport...Sport and more sport

I'm a strong believer that children should do some sort of sport to keep their mind and body fit...especially once they hit teenage years, I think if a child does some sort of sport they are less likely to get into trouble!
In saying this, can they do too much sport??
Damon who is 14 LOVES his sport, and he has something on every night, ranging from cricket, basketball, football and he goes to the gym also...I have asked him to pick his 2 favourite things because he needs to cut back a bit...but he wont, and how can I argue with hm, when his grades have made a HUGE improvement also?
I guess I'm being selfish in that I would like one night at home!
We also travel a LOT for all these things and recently went to Geelong for the weekend for basketball, we had a great time and I got to catch up with some dear friends who I hadn't seen for quite a while.

Will and his best mate Ben...... it was so good to see that after not seeing each other for 9 months, they still got on like a house on fire!

So we have basketball again today! Its the under16 grand final so we will go and cheer D on....Im sure he will win ;o)

  1. Im an advocate for having kids involved in sport!(Though I'm guessing it means you do have to taxi them all over the place) It keeps them active, encourages a healthy lifestyle and like you say...'keeps them out of trouble'. Looks like you all had a great weekend at the basketball =)
